Our Story

We are a mother, daughter and fur baby trio with an absolute passion for all things home and living. After many many years in the industry we have come back to where it all began, the little village of Essendon in 2004 where my wild dreams took place creating a beautiful childrens and lifestyle boutique, Rasberry Soda. A place where I could let my creativity run wild and be shared through clothing, furniture and personalised keepsakes…oh and our absolute LOVE for all things Christmas. 

Soon after I realised that I had instilled good work ethics in my daughter at such a young age, I would drop Anastazia off at the store every saturday at just the age of 8 where she learnt the skills of customer service and confidence that would lead her to where she is today. After seven years I said goodbye to my first venture Rasberry Soda and found myself on a new journey in homewares not long after, ten years and counting… 

Anastazia’s studies in Resort and Hotel Management led her to live out her dream and work abroad for the Walt Disney Company in the USA. However, Covid had other plans on the agenda. Now this is where the magic begins. 

The name Village Home & Living was inspired by the little North Essendon ‘Village’, a beautiful place that deserves beautiful stores and products to be at its fingertips. So here we are…  

Our store is a curation of homewares, lifestyle, gifts, furry friend and baby items. Each brand is carefully selected and loved by us. We pride ourselves in giving each customer a personalised service and experience in our store offering an ambience and mood that explores all the senses and provides retail therapy in a gorgeous environment. Whether it is Classic, French Industrial, Hamptons, Coastal, Relaxed Farmhouse, Chic or Boho living, Village Home & Living provides all the stylish accessories to evoke an overwhelming sense of inspiration.
